Description of Program

Open to all schools and students Ages 5 – 18. Novice, Intermediate and Advanced levels welcome!

Students learn chess with fun and engaging activities that include chess instruction, lessons, our ‘chess lab challenges’, game analysis and free weekly online tournaments for program students.

Young players will love learning chess with our fun and effective strategies – making this an exciting and rewarding experience.

Program is flexible for student’s with schedule conflicts. Classes are limited to the number of program sessions a student enrolls in but, can be interchanged with different program dates where needed and can be arranged on case by case basis.

Format & Technical Specs

Chess Levels I, II, III & IV — weekly synchronous lessons using Zoom and LiChess. Student Usernames, passwords and class materials will be provided.

Requirements: Computer or Tablet/iPad with audio and video capabilities.

Format: Zoom and LiChess online platform.

Online Halloween Chess Tournament; Oct. 31 (Optional)

Saturday: Oct. 31; 4 – 6pm

Every year we have held our Halloween Chess Tournament, giving young chessplayers a safe and fun place to celebrate the holiday playing chess! This year, we will continue with this event online. Players are encouraged to wear their costumes.

Our program students can play in our Halloween Tournament, at no extra cost. More information to come regarding registration for this event.
